StratoShield is our flagship single-application service — one drone-applied pass that cleans and protects in the same step. No pre-wash. No second visit. We back it with a written 2-year warranty: if biological staining returns within 24 months, we re-treat at no cost.

How It Works

StratoShield is built around a quaternary-ammonium active — the same chemistry class used by Wet & Forget and Bio-Shield (the leading outdoor biocides in Australia and New Zealand). It’s a positively-charged molecule that’s attracted to the negatively-charged cell walls of mold, algae, mildew, and lichen. Once attached, it disrupts the cell membrane — the microbes leak their contents and die at the cellular level, killing the colony from the outside in.

In the same drone-applied pass, the formulation leaves a long-acting hydrophobic barrier on the surface that repels water, salt, and airborne spores at the chemical level for the next 30–36 months.

What to Expect — Timeline

StratoShield does not produce an obviously clean result on day one. The biocide kills the biofilm at the cellular level, and the dead biomass weathers off over the following weeks. For a typical Miami roof (where the dominant growth is surface algae rather than the thick moss and lichen mats common in cooler climates):

• First visible improvement: within 1–2 weeks, especially after rainfall.
• Most streaking gone: 4–8 weeks.
• Full clean: roughly 6–12 weeks, depending on sun exposure, wind, and rain.

Roofs with significant moss or lichen present (denser cell structures, more biomass to break down) typically take several months to fully clear.

Application Window

Once StratoShield is applied, the formulation needs about 12 hours of dry weather to bond and set. After that, rain accelerates the process — it carries dead biomass off the surface and reactivates a small amount of the residual coating with each rinse, which is part of how new spore germination is suppressed for 2+ years.

Standard Soft Wash vs. StratoShield

Both services use manufacturer-warranty-compliant chemistry (GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, Carlisle TPO, GenFlex EPDM). Both are FAA Part 107 drone-applied with a 2-meter sensor buffer. The difference is the StratoShield blend — and the warranty.

Is It Safe?

• Non-fluorinated, biodegradable formulation. Zero PFAS, zero fluorine, zero chromium, zero heavy metals.
• Quaternary-ammonium-based active — same chemistry class used by Wet & Forget and Bio-Shield (the leading outdoor biocides in Australia and New Zealand). What It Doesn’t Do

• It is not paint. It does not change the color or appearance of your surface.
• It is not a fix for damaged surfaces. If shingles are at end-of-life or stucco is cracked, address the underlying issue first.

The Warranty in Writing

• Covered: mold, algae, mildew, black streaks, pink bacteria, and lichen regrowth on StratoShield-treated surfaces
• Not covered: physical damage, hurricane debris, jet fuel exposure, or surfaces not treated under the StratoShield service
• Claim process: call or text us with a photo. Re-treatment visit scheduled within 14 days.
